EMP [24 Feb 2002|09:33am]
Last night was OK, I really liked the blues band, but I felt bad that Sub-Motive did not win. Any way I met a really nice boy, but I don't think he liked me, I hope we can be friends.

I am excited to go to the Fremont Flea market today with Carla and Corbin. It should be good times..

concert [23 Feb 2002|05:01pm]
Last night was AMAZING... Micheal Franti and Spearhead kicked ass, Blackolicious and Saul Williams were great also. I felt so at home, this was the first concert in a long time that I really enjoyed. I can't wait until I can see them again.

evergreen [22 Feb 2002|05:01pm]
Today I went to Evergreen State College, and was a little disappointed. I thought that the school was going to bo better looking that it was, it was kind of like slabs of dirty concrete in the middle of the woods. The campus had no character and the housing was kind of a dump.

All in all it was mediocre looking, but I am not going to a school because it looks good. What really bugged me though was that I did not feel like I was in a community. Unlike Reed, which is a small liberal arts college similar to Evergreen, it lacked the feeling of being part of some thing larger that ones self. Maybe it was that the campus was so cold and uninviting, or just that most of the students where not on campus on Fridays. But whatever it was, it seemed very unfamiliar and distant.

Since Evergreen is the only school I am applying to i guess I will have to deal with it. But still my top choice is Reed.

In other new, if I do not find a boy friend any time soon, I plan to have at my wrists with a butter knife! And I love the color of my hair.

I am really excited about going to see Micheal Franti and Spearhead at the Moore. Thank you Ashley! I had a lot of fun last week-end at the Fremont Flea Market.

I e-mailed Misty at rock camp, I hope she lets my document the camp. My thesis centers around girls and how the feel, interpret, and interact with music. I want to get a capture a glimpse of what these girls lives are like, their hopes, fears, dreams and most of all, how they think music has shaped their lives. Although this is up for revision, any ideas?
